Mark Corcoran, CFA

Mark has been in the securities industry since 1994. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BA in International Affairs in 1992, which included one year of German immersion study at the Universität Passau, Germany. Mr. Corcoran earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 1999, subsequently serving multiple year terms on the Board of the CFA Society of Portland. During the prior fifteen years, Mr. Corcoran was the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Research at Northwest Capital Management, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management, Founder and Chief Market Strategist with Equity Capital Research Group, Senior Vice President and Director of Research at D.A. Davidson & Co., and Founder and President of Brookridge Capital Management. He lives in Portland with his wife and son.

Bruce has been engaged in the corporate development, finance, and investment management for more than 30 years. He has taught finance in the graduate business program at American University and the undergraduate program at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. His professional career has been devoted to understanding markets and company performance through disciplined analysis. His doctoral dissertation was a quantitative analysis of the characteristics and market efficiency of the Eurocurrency markets. He began his career as an energy market and industry analyst where he worked in the oil, gas, coal, and alternative energy industries while working at the Department of Energy, National Coal Association, Atlantic Richfield and PacifiCorp.His work in industry and company analysis led to his previous position with PacifiCorp Financial Services where he managed corporate development and investment management activities. In 1989, he founded Jefferson Research. Dr. Gulliver was a featured speaker at the 2003 AIMR annual conference.
